GALAPAGOS ISLAND CRUISE 9 DAY

OVERVIEW

After a short flight from Quito, you will arrive to the Galapagos refreshed and excited to join our tourist class yacht. Over the next eight days you will explore many islands, snorkel pristine beaches, come face to face with giant tortoise and sea lions and learn about the dynamic history, flora and faurna from your naturalist guide. This is truly the trip of a lifetime!

WHAT'S INCLUDED

• Services of bi-lingual naturalist/guide
• All transportation by cruise boat. Our boats accommodate 16 passengers in cabins with one lower and one upper berth, en-suite bathroom with hot and cold fresh water & air conditioning. Public areas offer generous deck space. The restaurant & meeting area has TV and VHS facilities. We reserve the right to utilize alternative boats as per local conditions.
• 1 night hotel & 7 nights shared berth included. Prices are based on twin share cabins. Single travellers will be matched with another passenger. No single supplements will be charged unless requested.
• Morning transfer from Quito hotel to airport
• Galapagos airport transfers
• Naturalist guided day hikes in Galapagos Islands
• All meals while on the boat (dinner on the first day to breakfast on the last day).

TRIP ITINERARY

Our routes have been carefully chosen to include the best night stops and highlights. However, as local and operational conditions may vary and unforeseen circumstances can arise, the following itinerary should be used as a guideline.

Days: 1 Arrival Quito

Arrive into Quito and transfer (not included) to our gateway hotel at your leisure. Rest of day to relax and prepare for your adventure.

Days: 2 Baltra Island

Morning transfer to Quito airport for our 1,000 km flight over the deep-blue Pacific to the remote and legendary Galápagos Archipelago. Arriving to Baltra Island, you will be met by our local agent and transferred to our motorized yacht and your home for the length of your tour. After getting settled in, we will visit Black Turtle Cove for our first afternoon in the Galapagos! Setting sail while you sleep, wake us refreshed at North Seymour - an island formed as a result of the uplift of submarine lava formation. It contains a large colony of magnificent frigate birds that gracefully soar overhead.

Days: 3 & 4 Plaza Island & Lobos Island

We will then visit Plazas Island, where we will observe the peculiar land iguanas in their natural habitat. After that is Lobos, home to nesting blue-footed boobies; and San Cristobal's Interpretation Centre offering us a keen insight into the fragile ecosystem of the Galapagos.

Days: 5 & 6 Espanola Island & Santa Fe Island

Continuing our journey, we observe playful sea lions on Espanola, and then marvel at Santa Cruz's extinct volcanoes and lush green vegetation highlighted by the cobalt blue backdrop of the ocean. In the afternoon we will cruise to Sante Fe Island where we can visit a cacti forest, walk amongst the iguanas or snorkel in the clear sea.

Days: 7 Santiago Island

Onwards to Santiago, one of the most volcanically active islands, where we will see many young flows and picturesque volcanic cones. We then visit Puerto Egas' fur sea grottos and the rare Panoehoe lava fields in Sullivan Bay.

Days: 8 & 9 Bartolome Island, Bachas Beach & Baltra

Bartolome Island's perfect volcanic cones, lunar craters and the famous pinnacle rock await! Climb to the summit of the island or snorkel with multi-coloured fish and watch for the occasional Galapagos Penguins before finishing this journey on the soft white sands of Bachas Beach.

Tour ends at 15:00 hours in Baltra Island on day 9. Note: All cruises & flights are non-refundable.
