Spanning two countries, two mountain ranges and the
Continental Divide - if you like the mountains, you

this three week adventure.
This spectacular journey of
discovery and adventure is for the purist. For those
who seek wilderness experience, the Best of the Rockies
stands out providing a close-up view of the Natural
World in the Northwest USA and in Southwest Canada.
A very active adventure!
Depart Seattle and head north to
Vancouver, a year round playground and one of the
most beautiful cities in Canada. Bicycle Stanley Park,
rent a boat, or wander the public market at Granville.
Eastward through the awesome Fraser River Canyon that
separating British Columbia's lush west with the arid
centre and marvel at the stunningy scenery.
Onward to the majesty of Jasper
National Park to ride horses, canoe a high mountain
lake, mountain bike, or hike to your heart's content.
On the way to Banff National Park you will follow
the Icefields Parkway along the major glaciers that
drain the Columbia lcefields. This is a photographer's
paradise! Into our secluded
campsites at Banff for three nights to swim in the
natural hot springs, hike, bicycle, or to take advantage
of the excellent nightlife in town.
Here you
can also whitewater raft on the Yoho River (depending
on water levels). South now into the true wilderness
of Glacier National Park. Grizzly bear, moose, elk,
mountain goats, marmots and a host of birds and small
animals call Glacier home. Hike the high mountain
passes amidst unsurpassed beauty. Next stop will be
a mountain lodge in rural Montana before continuing
into the magic of Yellowstone National Park with its
mudpots, petrified trees, geysers, wildlife, waterfalls,
lakes, meadows, hot springs and swimming holes.
Following
the Rocky Mountains, we go through the Grand Tetons
National Park into Jackson, Wyoming, with its Western
Rodeo, Million Dollar Cowboy Bar and Silver Dollar
Saloon. Activities include horseriding, mountain bicycling
and hiking.
Following the Snake River
into Idaho, we enter Craters of the Moon National
Park, the strange landscape caused by a still active
volcanic area. Still on the Snake into Oregon and
Washington, this adventure moves west to Mount Rainier
National Park.
Forests and river valleys
give way to high meadows and glacial lands, continuing
north and west to the lush, temperate rain forests
of Olympic National Park for the next two nights.
Finally back across Puget Sound to Seattle, the progressive
waterfront city famous for its Space Needle, markets,
microbreweries and coffee bars.
